Getting started
Setting up your account and your first child
How do I sign up?
Click Start free trial on the home page. You’ll need a working email address and a password. The trial is 14 days, no credit card required.
What happens after I sign up?
You’ll be asked to complete a short intake questionnaire about your child — their year group, learning style, interests, and any SEND types. This takes about 5–10 minutes. Our AI then builds a personalised learning persona which drives the tutor, the learning plan, and the content recommendations.
Can I add more than one child?
Yes. On the Family plan you can add up to three children, each with their own profile and learning persona. You complete the intake once per child. From the parent dashboard you can switch between them.
Do I need to download anything?
No. EverywhereX runs entirely in the browser on any modern device — phone, tablet, laptop, Chromebook. We recommend a tablet or laptop for the lesson player so there’s enough room for the read-aloud highlighting.
AI tutor
How the chat assistant works and what it will (and won’t) do
Is the AI tutor safe for my child?
Every message your child sends is scanned by a moderation model before the tutor sees it, and every reply is scanned before it reaches your child. The tutor is instructed to use the Socratic method — guiding understanding rather than giving answers — and adapts its tone and structure to your child’s SEND profile. If anything does get through, please report it via the contact form.
Does OpenAI use our chats to train its models?
No. We use OpenAI’s API tier, under which inputs and outputs are not used for model training. See the privacy policy for the full sub-processor list.
What if the tutor gets something wrong?
AI can occasionally be confidently wrong. Parents and teachers should treat the tutor as a supportive aid, not an authoritative textbook. Lesson content itself comes from Oak National Academy, which is curriculum-aligned. Please let us know about any factual errors you spot.
How do I stop my child using the AI tutor?
The tutor can’t currently be disabled per child from settings — a per-child toggle is on the roadmap. In the meantime, email hello@evx.logicmesh.dev and we’ll flag the account.
Accessibility
Dyslexia, ADHD, autism, dyscalculia, dyspraxia — and anyone else
What accessibility features are built in?
Five settings are available from Settings: OpenDyslexic font, text-to-speech, extended time, reduced text density, and high contrast. See our accessibility statement for the full picture.
Does the tutor adapt to my child’s SEND profile?
Yes. The tutor uses shorter sentences for dyslexic learners, explicit and literal language for autistic learners, visual step-by-step explanations for dyscalculic learners, and patient turn-taking for dyspraxic learners. These adaptations come from the intake answers and the AI persona we build on top of them.
Something isn’t working for my child — what do I do?
Email accessibility@evx.logicmesh.dev or use the contact form with the topic set to “Accessibility issue”. We treat these as priority bugs and aim to respond within two working days.
Billing and subscriptions
Trials, plans, cancellations
How does the free trial work?
Every new account gets 14 days of full access — no card required. At the end of the trial the account reverts to a limited free tier unless you subscribe.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel any time from the settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Paid billing is not yet live in pilot — see the note at the bottom of this page.
Do schools pay differently?
Schools, multi-academy trusts and local authorities can license EverywhereX on a per-seat basis with a separate service agreement. Email hello@evx.logicmesh.dev to start the conversation.
Can EHCP personal budgets be used to pay?
Potentially, yes. Personal budgets attached to an Education, Health and Care Plan can sometimes be used for specialist learning tools where the EHCP outcomes explicitly include them. This depends on your local authority — ask your caseworker.
Account and data
Passwords, profiles, GDPR rights
I forgot my password.
Go to the forgot-password page and enter your account email. We’ll send a one-time reset link.
How do I download my data?
From Settings → Data & Privacy, click “Download my data”. You’ll get a JSON file with your account profile, your children’s learning records, and everything else we hold about you. This is your right under UK GDPR Article 20.
How do I delete my account?
Same page — click “Delete account” and type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is scheduled 14 days ahead so you can cancel if you change your mind. After that it can’t be reversed.
Can I change my child’s persona after intake?
Yes. Open the child detail page from your parent dashboard and edit the learning profile. The AI tutor and new learning plans will reflect the changes from the next session.
For schools and teachers
Classroom use, pupil management
Can I use EverywhereX with a class?
In pilot, teacher accounts can see progress for pupils explicitly assigned to them. Full class-management features — roster import, assignments, intervention groups, printable parent-evening reports — are the next area of work.
Do you integrate with Wonde, Google Classroom, or Microsoft SDS?
Not yet. These are on our shortlist and we’d love to talk to any school that wants to help us prioritise.
How does EverywhereX align with the SEND Code of Practice?
The intake and persona map onto the four broad areas of need identified in the Code. We’re working on an Assess-Plan-Do-Review panel for teachers that ties into EHCP outcomes.
Safety and safeguarding
Keeping children safe on the platform
Who sees my child’s chat history?
You do. The parent account owns every chat session. If your child is assigned to a teacher through an invite, the teacher can also see progress but not the raw tutor transcript. Admins on our team can access the data only to investigate a safeguarding concern or a user support request — and those accesses are logged.
What do you do if you spot a safeguarding concern?
We follow the procedures in Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025. For a direct concern, email safeguarding@evx.logicmesh.dev. For immediate danger call 999. For NSPCC advice call 0808 800 5000.
Does the tutor ever give crisis advice?
No. The tutor is a learning aid, not a crisis service. If a child writes something that suggests they may be at risk, the tutor gently suggests they talk to a trusted adult and offers a Childline signpost, and the message is flagged for review.
